True grit (2010)

I like anything the Coens do so I wanted to like True grit. But the trouble here is Jeff Bridges. He has fallen into a caricature act of the character they try to paint. I kept on seeing him as Crazy Heart here only more so. In  the end the film is watch-able but probably too long. The best scenes for me paint the old west and some of the characters are good, like the lawyer examining Rooster Cogburn. But the music was a re-jig of a traditional American piece somewhat irritatingly sentimental.
